Online
Donations
Make a secure gift now to help youth experiencing homelessness and human trafficking today. Your gift provides support to our programs and services that are available to youth at no charge. Thank you for providing shelter, food, medical and mental health care, crisis intervention, educational and vocational services, and an array of supportive services to young people across Michigan. If you wish, you may designate your gift to either the Detroit or Grand Rapids location.
In-Kind
Donations
Thanks to generous donors like you, we are able to provide our youth with essential items such as new clothes, hygiene products, linens, and more – at no cost to our youth during their stay. You can donate through our wish list registries, with gifts delivered directly to us. If you’d like to drop off a donation, you may schedule to deliver in Detroit on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. In Grand Rapids, donations are accepted throughout the week by appointment only. Please use the link to schedule an appointment. Your support ensures our youth have everything they need, and we are deeply grateful for your generosity.
IRA Distributions (QCD) & Donor Advised Funds
If you are age 70½ or older, you can make a charitable gift directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Covenant House Michigan.
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a convenient way to support the youth we serve. If you have a DAF, you can recommend a grant directly to Covenant House Michigan.
Corporate Partnership
& Matched Gifts
Ending youth homelessness would not be possible without the support of our generous corporate partners. From sponsoring special events to coordinating a volunteer day of service for employees, aligning with Covenant House Michigan is good business.
Employees, many companies offer to match donations on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis, helping your gift make an even greater impact. Please check with your HR director to see if your employer offers matched giving.
Planned
Giving
A gift to Covenant House Michigan through your estate plan is a wonderful way to build a legacy of love – and ensure a hot meal, a warm bed, unconditional love, and hope are waiting for each young person who walks through our doors. Our knowledgeable staff looks forward to speaking with you about the various planned giving options available to you. The conversation will hold your confidence and there is no obligation. Please contact Carolyn Millard at 313-348-1082 for more information.
Faith Partnerships & Giving
Faith-based organizations play a vital role in helping Covenant House Michigan provide safety, care, and hope to young people experiencing homelessness. Your congregation can support our mission and can make a gift, provide an outreach grant, take up a special offering, or include us in your church’s annual mission giving. Together, we can live out the call to care for those in need and remind youth that they are not forgotten.
