Carolyn Millard came to Covenant House Michigan in July 2002 to join our staff as Capital Campaign Coordinator. Drawing upon her experience in sales and customer service in the insurance and manufacturing sectors, she successfully raised a $5M fund to build our Caritas Center, renovate and expand our Commons/Dining/Kitchen complex, renovate our Rights of Passage, Administration and Chapel buildings, and create parking and landscaping spaces. She was brought into Development during the campaign.
Since her promotion to Development Manager in 2006, she has concentrated on facilitating additional Major Gifts and on expanding awareness of the benefits of Planned Giving. Carolyn joined the Planned Giving Roundtable of Southeast Michigan in 2004, and she has served on its Board of Directors since 2008 and Mentoring Committee since 2009.
Carolyn has also enjoyed directing church choirs and working with special needs children while raising four children of her own. She and her husband reside in Ypsilanti, MI.
The part of her job that she likes most is saying, “Thank you for being part of our Covenant House Michigan family!” to our wonderful donors and volunteers.
Carolyn and her husband are both active members at Christ the King Catholic Church in Ann Arbor. They are both involved in leadership at Upper Room Praise and Worship.
