McCaskey Law, PLLC
Victoria M. Burton-Harris is the managing partner at McCaskey Law, PLLC, located in downtown Detroit. She focuses her practice in family law, criminal defense (including juvenile defense) and estate planning. Victoria is very passionate about youth, especially the underprivileged and under-served population. She is most happy using her law license to be a voice for the voiceless, advocating for those who cannot fight for themselves. Victoria began serving the youth of Covenant House as a volunteer in 2011. Seeing a need and gap between residents and a stable support system beyond Covenant House, she coordinated Covenant House’s LoveHope mentoring program-a collaboration with 5 H.O.P.E., a non-profit organization for which Victoria is a founding member. Victoria firmly believes that no matter the situation, our youth can succeed with a stable support system and love.
Victoria earned a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University. She is a proud alumna of University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science & African-American Studies. She is a member of the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, National Council of Black Lawyers, National Lawyers Guild, Women’s Bar Association & Wolverine Bar Association.
In addition to practicing law, Victoria enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, Robert, and their two dogs, Sasha & James Baldwin.
