Iwona Niec Villaire is Vice President and General Counsel of Chassix. Villaire is responsible for providing legal guidance, direction and oversight to corporate business development, financial agreements, corporate governance and compliance, commercial transactions and employment matters.the Automotive. Villaire joined Chasix in February 2006.
Previously, she was deputy general counsel and director of global legal compliance at Cooper Standard, where she was responsible for a broad range of legal matters, including securities law compliance, financing, corporate governance matters, mergers/acquisitions, commercial and real estate transactions. In addition, she was a member of Cooper Standard’s Corporate Responsibility Committee and coordinated the activities of the Company and committee in ensuring continued compliance with Cooper Standard’s code of business conduct and ethics, related policies and applicable laws on a global basis. Previously, she served as senior counsel with Federal-Mogul Corp., where she was responsible for corporate governance, securities, international transactions, restructuring and bankruptcy, regulatory compliance and employment law. Prior to this, she was an associate attorney at Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss in Southfield, Mich.
Villaire earned a Juris Doctor, Master of Arts in psychology and Bachelor of Science degrees from Wayne State University in Detroit. She is a member of Inforum and the Michigan Bar Association.
